Huntington Ingalls Industries - Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII-MIS is currently seeking Intermediate-Level Business Analysts to work out of Wilkes Barre, PA in support of a multi-year contract with the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

  • Under direct supervision, have duties of instructing, directing, and checking the work of other project engineers

  • Reviews design documents and ensure technical specifications and designs are correct

  • Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines

  • Leads a group of engineers, analysts, and/or technicians assigned for the duration of a project or may function as ongoing lead within a group of engineers associated with one or more technical areas (such as, but not limited to, network design, engineering, implementation, or operations/user support)

  • Does not have formal supervisory responsibilities, although may provide input for (project) team member performance appraisals

Qualifications and Experience :

Required

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with strong knowledge of several of the following skillsets:

  • SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, UNIX/Linux, Informatica, IBM WebSphere MQ, JAVA, JEE, JavaScript, Mobile, Automated Testing Tools, Dev Ops, XML, JSON, Oracle, SQLServer, Restful web services, WebSphere, TomCat, WildFly, MicroStrategy, Cloud Technology, Oracle Web Commerce (ATG), Oracle Financials, Oracle Endeca, Network and Load Balancing, C#, C++, .Net, Visual Studio, RAD, Eclipse, AJAX, HTML, CSS, MS Office Suite

  • Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies

  • Ability to prepare cost estimates

  • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices

  • Effective liaison between business and technical teams

  • Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups

  • Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)

  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

  • Capacity Planning

  • Project Management / Project Planning

  • Must be able to obtain and keep a USPS Sensitive Clearance

Preferred

  • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred

Security :

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a Green Card and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years

  • Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years
