HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Senior Vulnerability Analyst to work out of their Washington, DC office.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

  • Manage IT vulnerabilities across department of education.

  • Generating reports from Tenable

  • Update status reports and present them on daily basis to all stakeholders

  • Follow up with other departments on mitigating the vulnerabilities and take corrective actions

  • Consolidate data received from different sources and generate reports

  • Develop, implement and maintain the processes and capabilities of a risk driven vulnerability management program

  • Perform vulnerability assessment, prioritization, and reporting

  • Assess risks related to vulnerabilities and recommend resolutions or risk reduction mitigations

  • Track vulnerability remediation activities to ensure completion

  • Work with PIVOT-I engineers, CSOC analyst, and help desk to develop manage remediation activity and progress, and vulnerability management process improvement

  • Communication with the customer

Qualifications and Experience:

Required –

  • 2-4 Years with Bachelors or 0-2 Years with Masters or HS diploma + 6-8 years of relevant experience.

  • 3+ years of operational IT Security experience, with a focus on vulnerability management

  • Ability to identify systemic security issues based on the analysis of vulnerability scans and configuration data, and make recommendations of towards mitigating risk

  • Ability to conduct vulnerability scans (Tenable SC preferably)

  • Prioritize and present identified vulnerabilities based upon severity, potential operational impact, and other factors for DoED

  • CISSP or CompTIA Security+, CISSP preferred
