HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Network Engineer II to work onsite at the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in Washington, DC.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

  • Plan, design, implement, and support operations of technical infrastructure components (servers, workstations, networks and operating systems).

  • Possess specific skills related to the Internet and applications related to the Internet and software engineering.

  • Responsible for the design and implementation of data communications and/or telecommunications networks.

  • May support video-teleconferencing center equipment and communication requirements.

  • Provide project life-cycle support.

  • Analyze and resolve ongoing technical issues, and identify potential improvements to increase technical infrastructure reliability. Train users on technical procedures.

Qualifications and Experience :

Required –

  • 3-5 years of directly-related work experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years network experience dealing with Cisco-related products with respect to WAN and LAN monitoring, support, and troubleshooting

  • Hold or be able to obtain ATF security clearance.

Preferred –

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
