HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Contract Labor On Call (CLOC) Exercise Subject Matter Expert to support USSOUTHCOM Exercises.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
Provide support to the USSOUTHCOM J7/9 and DHS as follows:
Provide support in Execution Phase of Integrated Advance 2019 (IA19) and other Exercises
Work in the Combined Exercise Control Group in the Joint Staff J7/9 in Suffolk, VA as a Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Migrant Operations Policy subject matter expert.
Review and produce required exercise documentation for accuracy and currency pertaining to area of expertise in support of IA19.
Role play in the capacity as a Senior DHS Executive (Asst. Secretary Level) as required as well as provide DHS Migrant Operations subject matter expertise during execution.
Draft MSEL products.
Expected to provide face-to face support, VTC or telephonic meetings with the training audience to facilitate achievement of training objectives (to include, but not limited to, specifically role play Assistant Secretary DHS during periodic phone conferences with the JTF-East, HSTF-SE and USSOUTHCOM Staff, and participate in exercise control group meetings where their expertise is deemed appropriate by the designated Interagency Cell leads or Exercise Director.
Qualifications and Experience :
Experience briefing JTF-East Director in Strategic, Operational and Tactical level initiatives
Required 12 years of experience on senior level staffs or decision maker positions within DoD or DoS
Must be willing to travel. Travel will be reimbursed in accordance to the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR)
Experience as Senior level decision maker or executive level staff in DoD, or Dept of State
CCMD Experience or Similar level
Must be able to obtain and maintain a current DoD SECRET Clearance
