HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII - MDIS is currently seeking a Technical Support Analyst to provide technical support services out of their San Antonio, TX office. The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for the daily operational support and issue resolution of all PACER managed applications. This includes but is not limited to ensuring data feeds and interfaces are functioning as intended, responding to support requests, working with internal staff and external partners to resolve issues, and escalating issues when appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Monitor application health, support custom integration points for enterprise applications, and actively mitigate potential issues and down time

  • Process operations and maintenance requests within defined thresholds

  • Serve as the central point of contact to diagnose, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate issues in all environments from development to production

  • Perform and document root cause analysis

  • Ability to quickly learn and articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Provide SQL database support

  • Provide end user support as needed

  • Participate in the modification request process

  • Create, review, validate, and maintain up-to-date procedural operations and maintenance documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

Required –

  • BA/BS and 9 years of experience

  • Experience writing Linux shell scripts and knowledge of Linux command line tools

  • Experience with relational database systems and SQL

  • Experience with issue management, analysis and resolution

  • Good diagnostic, analytic, troubleshooting, and multitasking skills

  • Experience with and working knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, and Linux system logs

  • Experience with various web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, AJAX, etc.)

  • Experience working effectively in a high-paced team environment with minimal instruction/supervision
