HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII - MDIS is currently seeking an Asset Manager to work out of their San Antonio, TX or DC office or possibly Telework.
Duties and Responsibilities (toinclude but not be limited to the following):
Gather detailed hardware and software inventory (requires extensive experience).
Oversee Software Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) processes.
Provide process leadership and direction to ensure effective IT Asset management processes, policies, and procedures are in place to meet business, operational, audit, and reporting requirements related to Asset Management.
Establish and maintain asset management documentation for procedures, processes, reports, and the data in the Remedy Atrium CMB.
Manage inventory of configuration items (CIs) and assets, including dependencies and attributes, ensuring that modifications, withdrawals, and additions are correctly recorded. Inventory includes licenses, warranties, lease, maintenance and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software, as well as physical components of computers and computer networks.
Track asset quality throughout the product lifecycle. Auditing, validating, and reconciling software licenses against the installed asset base.
Coordinate assets to be uniquely identified with naming conventions; ensure that staff comply with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases, and templates.
Relate the contracts to the applicable CIs and assets.
Ensure audit compliance for IT assets. Identify and act on cost reduction opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's and a minimum of eight (9) years’ of IT experience
Experience with ITSM applications, e.g., Remedy, SeviceNow
Through understanding of Change, Configuration, and Asset lifecycle and related processes
Increase overall awareness of IT Asset Management and Asset lifecycle and related processes
Work wth other prcess owners to ensure an integrated approach to the design, implementation, and coordination of interfaces between configuration management and other service management processes. (Change, Release, Incident, and Knowledge).
Reconcile CIs and assets and mark duplicates for deletion.
Knowledge of automated discovery tools that are used to populate the CMDB (BMC Discovery - Preferred, or ServiceNow)
SAM certification preferred. (e.g., ITIATAM Certified Software Asset Manager, Certified Software Asset Management (CSAM) or Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM))
ITIL v3 Certification
