The Ground Operations Manager will execute, oversee and support all activities associated with ground operations in support of aircraft and mission. Liaison with Host Nation (HN) base support team for maintenance of hangar. Executes Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention program. Ensure all support vehicles (TUG, fuel truck, and transportation fleet) are proper registered, maintained, and operated safely.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage ground operations of US RPA aircraft from OCONUS location.

  • Monitor maintenance requirements and report status.

  • Ensure operational requirements are safely accomplished in accordance with customers' established standards and operating procedures.

  • Serve as the in-country ground operations subject matter expert.

  • Manage personnel to include reception, staging, onward movement, and integration into the operating site.

  • Track program capabilities and ensure adequate personnel and equipment are present to accomplish the mission to include security, force protection, intelligence, operations, logistics, and communications.

  • Ensure required operational reports are submitted to approriate personnel in a timely manner to meet company and customer requirements.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key operations customers, teammates and vendors.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required -

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Experience in planning, controlling, and executing work in a high volume/paced

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 4 years relevant experience. An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this job.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skill.

  • Required to develop relationships with Operations counterparts.

  • Required to support other members of the Operation Field Team while on deployments or temporary duty locations, as priorities permit.

  • Recovery of Program personnel across multiple locations

  • Functional knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Ability to interface at all-levels of command and leadership on a regular basis.

  • Must be work well in a team environment

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks and projects

  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time

  • Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations.

  • Must be willing to travel internationally

  • 3 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 1 Year relevant experience with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this job.

  • Clearance: Must possess a current Top Secret/SCI Clearance
