The Deployed Logistics Distribution Manager performs all aspects of technical supply management (e.g., resource management, government furnished equipment (GFE), commercial off the shelf (COTS)), and other acquisition purchase, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to local or other supply activities. Supports end-to-end transportation of CFE including ground and air transportation and equipment handling and related insurance, taxes, and tariffs. Coordinates with USAFE and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy and uses the contractor Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DoDAAC) account to support shipping, receiving, and turn in of GFE and CFE.

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.

  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.

  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.

  • Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives.

  • Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.

  • Schedule all product distribution

  • Perform market research related to OCONUS vendors and third party services

  • Coordinate all shipments for all locations

  • Ensure all shipments are compliant with regulations

  • Respond to shipping complaints, lost items, and damages

  • Review and analyze budgets, expenditures, and operations

  • Track and report shipment results

  • Develop and manage logistics KPIs

  • Develop and document standard operating procedures

  • Analyze financial impact of logistics changes, routing, shipping modes, etc.

  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required -

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems operation and maintenance, and a demonstrated proficiency in technical writing.

  • Logistical experience.

  • Experience with supply system principles

  • Experience in planning, controlling, and executing work in a high volume, high paced environment.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to interface at all-levels of command and leadership on a regular basis.

  • Must be customer-service oriented and work well in a team environment

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks and projects

  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time

  • Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations.

  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs

  • Must be willing to travel internationally

  • 6 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 4 Years relevant experience with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this job.

  • Clearance: Must possess a current Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Preferred -

Must have Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years of experience.

Security:

  • Must possess a current Top Secret/SCI Clearance
