HII – MDIS is currently seeking aComms/IT/IA/ Enterprise Architectto support our customer.

TheComms/IT/IA/ Enterprise Architect provides secure and efficient data communications that optimize the collection, processing, and exploitation of ISR data and increase situational awareness across global information networks. Supports all communication and network functions necessary for safe, efficient and effective ISR operations. Ensures Information Assurance (IA) measures and procedures are adhered to through integration and testing of the MQ-9 system and the PED cell. Ensures communications infrastructure and applicable processes to meet Information Security (INFOSEC) and Communication Security (COMSEC) requirements as specified by the Government in order to connect relevant systems and subsystems to the DoD Information Networks.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.

  • Design, test, and inspect data communications systems.

  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.

  • Install hardware such as cables, hubs, routers, and wireless adaptors.

  • Develop technology roadmaps.

  • Configure network drivers for software.

  • Analyze, engineer, and execute hardware and software functions

  • Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.

  • Manage various technology vendors.

  • Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors.

  • Determine production direction.

  • Write functional requirements/specifications documents.

  • Assess vendor products as required.

  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.

  • Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.

  • Solve complex problems with many variables.

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot network architecture.

  • Monitor and diagnose performance issues with network architecture.

  • Design and implement business solutions using network equipment.

  • Design, write and update system documentation and network diagrams.

  • Required to develop relationships with Comms and Network counterparts at EUCOM, USAFE, Air Operations Center – Europe and various supporting commands within the USAFE and EUCOM AOR

  • Required to support other members of the Operation Field Team while on deployments or temporary duty locations, as priorities permit

  • Strong presentation and communication skill.

  • Requirements and Analysis of current and future operations.

  • Other duties may be assigned, as necessary


Required -

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Have proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Power Point).

  • Have excellent time management, verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management

  • Possess demonstrated experience in the areas of people and conflict management with tact and discretion.

  • Be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situations.

  • Be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm.

  • 5 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 Years relevant experience with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this job.

  • Must be willing to travel internationally.

  • Clearance: Must possess a current Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Preferred -

  • Requires Master’s Degree w/10+ years of experience working in Communications and

  • Preferred Certifications: DoD 8570 Certification IAT level II, and III Compliant and relevant Computing Environment Certification (CCNP, CISSP, Security+).
