HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII - MDIS is currently seeking an editor/quality assurance specialist to work at our Orlando, FL office. This position is part time and supports telework.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

The candidate will work as a member of a multi-project team. Specific duties may include:

  • Preparing and reviewing written materials ensuring that basic grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, spelling, page organization, and format are correct.

  • Editing and revising written text per style manuals and ensure consistency.

  • Using the computer to prepare and edit word processing documents and computer presentations, and to develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and project planning applications.

  • Preparing written text using tables, columns, and tabular data formats.

  • Interacting frequently with team members and clients in an effective and tactful manner.

  • Multi-tasking across several different projects.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • 6+ Years with Bachelors or 4+ Years with Masters or HS diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products

  • Prior experience working with or supporting the Air Force or DoD is preferred.
