We are currently seeking a Training Plans and Assessment Support Contractor to work onsite at USSOUTHCOM, FL.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support the USSOUTHCOM Joint Training and Exercise Enterprise by providing subject matter expertise, planning, and coordination of training associated with the USSOUTHCOM Joint Task Force Capable Headquarters (JTF-C HQ) readiness program, USSOUTHCOM's lines of effort (currently Counter Threat, Strengthen Partnerships, and Build Our Team), and Joint Exercise Program Assessments. Support the readiness of JTF-C HQs by administering the training program and promoting the JTF-C HQ readiness process. Serve as the USSOUTHCOM staff representative for matters concerning JTF-C HQs training and regulatory requirements. Provide liaison between HQ USSOUTHCOM, JTF-C HQ, and Joint Staff JTF-C HQ training personnel. Support development and/or coordinated efforts associated with promoting USSOUTHCOM's lines of efforts. Coordinate with Joint Exercise Program leads in developing, staffing, and executing operational/strategic assessments of joint exercise alignment to USSOUTHCOM and higher-headquarters plans and orders.
Job Listing Description:
Specifically, the support contractor will (but not limited to):
Develop and/or review Service Component training and readiness support plans for JTF-C HQ development
Assist in the coordination of training events for designated JTF-C HQs as requested/required
Review USSOUTHCOM and Service Component JTF-HQ training and capability assessments in the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)
Coordinate resources in support of workshops, training and exercise activities and support, through exercise planning/execution
Support production and socialization of JTF-C HQ progress reports IAW regulatory requirements and Combatant Commander guidance
Support development, coordination, and governance of Build Our Team line of effort (LOE 3)
Support/attend working groups that promote or synchronize efforts associated with LOE 3
Provide information necessary to conduct Military Imperative assessments and analysis
Develop an assessment framework or methodology to assess USSOUTHCOM training
Conduct data collection and analysis in support of USSOUTHCOM's Individual Training Program to identify the return on investment of the program
Support strategic/operational assessment efforts in coordination with exercise planners
Support/build strategic/operational assessment plans in coordination with exercise planners
Serve as action officer for JTF-C HQ training, LOE 3, and Exercise Assessment matters to include: rewriting and updating USSOUTHCOM Instructions, writing information/decision papers, and briefing/conducting in-progress reviews as required.
Applicant will be required to travel; travel will be reimbursed in accordance to the Joint Travel Regulation (JTF).
Qualifications and Experience :
Applicant must possess operational experience, working knowledge of joint operation staff functions, and be familiar with military training, Service capabilities, and joint operations.
Joint exercise planning experience and first-hand knowledge/experience of JTF operations/missions and joint doctrine is desired.
Knowledge of USSOUTHCOM Partner Nation operational constructs and political climates is beneficial.
Must have the ability to work independently in formulating detailed, long-range joint training plans, and exercise assessments, develop information and decision papers, and brief senior leaders in areas of subject matter expertise.
Must have a strong background in being able to gather, analyze, and interpret data
Must be able to design, plan and conduct assessments of training and exercise programs
Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors and fundamental relationships, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions
Demonstrated experience providing qualitative and quantitative analytical support
Preferred experience with data analytic software such as Tableau, Microsoft VBS, etc.
15+ Years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 13+ Years of relevant experience with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement for this job.
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS DoD clearance
