HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII - MDIS is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to work out of their client's Merrifield, VA office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects
Oversees all aspects of projects
Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Performs a variety of tasks
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Will report to a client manager or head of a unit/department
Analyze, track, and prepare financial statements and reports for the major capital equipment programs
Perform cost analysis and related accounting
Assist Program Manager in deployment/program scheduling; facilitate requirements collection and review, site preparation analysis, funding management, and administrative support tasks
Develop fiscal year budgets for programs
Create presentations and conduct training for TAPM teams
Track and log all financial requests, ebuys, contracts, and invoices into the TAPM tracking spreadsheets
Monitor financial program against corporate reports
Communicate orally to discuss financial issues with contractors, postal staff, and senior management through presentations
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with Bachelor’s Degree or 6+ years of professional experience or a combination of both. The professional experience should be in project management, IT project management, information technology, operations and/or budget/financial management
Attention to details, and the desire to see the project through to completion.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Strong management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Adept at planning and organization
Self-motivated and quick, adaptive learner
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Proven experience in risk management and analysis
Proven experience in communications planning and execution
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Must be able to obtain and keep a USPS Sensitive Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years
Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years
