HII - Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII-MDIS is currently seeking a Strategic Planning and Assessments Analyst onsite to work out of the USCENTCOM office in Tampa, FL.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

Strategic Planning and Assessments Analyst provides planning and assessment support for joint campaigns and operations.Develops estimates and makes recommendations for deficiencies. Integratesinformation from a variety of sources into various systems; ensures propersystems interfaces. Collects data for analysis. Develops products resultingfrom analysis. Analyzes and reengineers processes. Produces reports. BriefsLeadership. Represents customer at working groups and conferences.

Specific tasks include:

  • Participate in joint planning to ensure measurable and achievable end states, objectives, desired effects, and tasks

  • Lead operation assessment and provide critical and logical review formajor programs, campaigns and operations which may have national orinternational impact and deal with complex, controversial and/or sensitiveissues.

  • Conduct assessment activities including: assessment of the TheaterCampaign Plan (TCP), Operation Plans (OPLANs), Concept Plans (CONPLANs),Operations Orders (OPORDs), Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs), and Comprehensive

  • Joint Assessment (CJA), Chairman's RiskAssessment (CRA), and Quarterly Readiness Review (QRR).

  • Review and provide detailed comments about USCENTCOM plans, orders, and other documents and other strategic planning documents

  • Participate in war games and other joint planning activities as the assessments lead in support of course ofaction development for strategic plans

  • Lead planning teams assessment actions including activities to plan,develop, and implement assessment frameworks, methodologies, metrics,measures, and/or indicators to assess plans, orders, operations, actions,activities, and tasks in the USCENTCOM AOR andheadquarters.

  • Coach, teach and mentor members of the USCENTCOM staff on assessmentspractices; educate, train, assist and guide staff members during theassessment processes and support the planning and execution of exercises toreinforce staff training and proficiency inassessments activities.

  • Provide technical expertise to assist in implementing USCENTCOM sponsoredinitiatives which improve DOD-wide Joint and Service assessments doctrine.

  • Support the DOD Assessment Community of Interest (ACOI).

  • Brief senior leaders, potentially on controversial, and/or sensitive results and findings.

  • Routinely communicate with, prepare correspondence and presentations for, and advise senior leaders; Generate finished products for presentation and final reporting.

Qualifications and Experience :

Required –

  • Successful candidate will have knowledge and experience supporting the Department of Defense, and be familiar with military, Service, and joint operations.

  • Experience with the Strategic Planning process and Assessments..

  • Candidate must be proficient in MS Office and have excellent written and oral communication.

  • Candidate may be required to travel; travel will be reimbursed in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).

  • Bachelors in related field and 10 years of relevant professional experience. 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.

  • Possess and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Preferred –

  • Direct experience at the Joint Staff and/or a Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) or previous direct assignment to USCENTCOM desired.

  • ORSA experience/training.

Security :

  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements

  • The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

  • Must possess and maintain an active TS DoD Clearance
