HII-Mission Driven Innovative Solutions, Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customer at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII-MDIS is currently seeking a Simulation Hardware Technician to support training device production in Huntsville, AL. This program will also include the update and retro fit of existing systems with new technologies or system upgrades.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to the following):
Support material ordering and part qualification
Install, maintain, fabricate, assemble, test, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and/or upgrade electronics components or systems.
Review configuration changes for production impacts and provide written feedback
Develop documentation for production build.
Qualifications and Experience:
AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering schematic/wiring/assembly diagrams.
Ability to Solder, Crimp and have experience using electronic test equipment
Electronic fabrication including switches, electrical controls, wiring harness, and military connector assembly
Mechanical and component fabrication and assembly such as rack layout and buildup of hardware mounting structures and power supplies.
Basic computer operation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
Ability to lift and move electronic systems and test equipment up to 70 lbs.
Ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time
Ability to work in a team environment.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an electronics lab technician role.
Experience in the maintenance, disassembly, repair, replacement, re-assembly, adjustment, and troubleshooting of Simulation and Training systems IAW technical specifications, engineering instructions, and/or applicable regulations.
Experience designing assemblies and systems using computer-aided drafting and design software Solid Edge and Solid Works.
Experience with Simulation and/or Training systems including hardware in the loop.
Experience with 1553 Data Bus
Experience with Linux/Windows operating systems.
Active DOD Secret Clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
