HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII-MDIS is currently seeking a Part time – temporary (6 months) Entry level assembler/laborer to support the production of Part Task Trainers in Huntsville, AL.

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position. Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include: Work as part of a team to assemble task trainers in support of USG customer contract. This position will be responsible for all phases of system assembly and some level of computer based testing. Candidate will be required to use knowledge of tools and system to complete task with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned):

  • Build cables based on drawings, written instruction and/or duplicate from provided sample.

  • Build sub-assemblies on drawings, written instruction and/or duplicate from provided sample.

  • Build training systems based on drawings, written instruction and/or duplicate from provided sample.

  • Provide input on issues incurred

  • Perform post-assembly verification, typical visual and electrical

  • Perform self-guided computer based system verification

Qualifications and Experience :

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years experience

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Must be able to work in both team environment and at times individually

  • Must be able to lift 30 – 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to follow written instructions

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to work overhead for extended periods of time

  • Must have a knowledge of basic tools

  • Must have basic knowledge of PC based computer operation

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • Education recent or near term High School graduate

  • Production assembly experience is a plus however not required.
