We are seeking a Posture Planner to support our customer at SOCPAC.
POSTURE PLANNERshall provide force posture planning for SOCPAC’s campaign support plan.
Conduct analysis, develop policy and procedures leading force posture planning and developing the posture annex to the SOCPAC campaign support plan.
Coordinate with subordinate, lateral, and higher organizations in order to consolidate SOCPAC’s input to the USPACOM Theater Posture Plan and the USSOCOM Global SOF Posture Plan.
Provide force posture planning recommendations to various levels of SOCPAC leadership.
Incorporate national strategic guidance into the command’s forces, footprints, and agreements portfolios.
Synthesize the command’s submissions for USSOCOM’s Strategic Planning Process, Global Special Operations Synchronization process (GSOS), Theater Posture Planning (TSP), Global Force Management, SOCPAC campaign and contingency plans, and crisis action planning at the operational and strategic levels.
Participate in USPACOM, USSOCOM, and other command-level planning groups and battle-rhythm events.
Produce information papers, decision briefs, and talking papers on posture, policy, SOCPAC instructions, and executive agreements.
Produce studies and reports to support strategy-derived tasks in support of: OPLANS, CONPLANs, EXORDs, Theater Strategy, and the Theater Campaign Plan.
Maintain a command/guidance database/reference library that incorporates SOCOM, PACOM, joint publications, national-level guidance, and other strategic documents relevant to SOCPAC.
Analyze and evaluate SOCPAC component force policy, posture, and planning products.
Provide input to the Joint Planning and Execution System for integration in the Adaptive Planning Process.
CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
Other duties may be assigned
Eight (8) years’ of experience planning multi-disciplined special operations at the tactical and operational levels and;
Two (2) years’ of experience in an interagency team environment in the USPACOM area of responsibility (AOR) and;Two (2) years’ of experience in an interagency team environment in the USPACOM area of responsibility (AOR) and;
Two (2) years’ of experience in Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP).
OROne (1) year experience posture planning for SOCPAC.
Must have 10-14 Years with Bachelors or 8-12 Years with Masters or HS diploma + 14-18 years of relevant experience.
- Must have TS/SCI clearance
