HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII - MDIS is currently seeking a Software Engineer with Configuration Management experience to work remotely.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
Work with business analysts to determine application and database requirements.
Design, build, and test data processing programs.
Contribute to architecture, code, and program reviews.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience with at least 3 years of specialized experience in analytically solving workflows, organization, and/or planning problems, designing, developing, and testing complex software products and applications.
At least 3 years must be in configuration management for complex systems involving software code, life cycle methodologies, safety management systems, or configuration management tools
Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, but an Information Systems degree is acceptable with exceptional work experience.
Solid working knowledge and hands-on experience with key software platform architectures including one or both of Windows .net, J2EE and three or more of ASP, JSP, Oracle, web servers, application servers, and relational databases.
Progressive experience in analysis, design or maintenance of complex software systems, including computer simulation, client/server architectures, networking techniques and protocols, databases, programming languages, and/or operating systems.
Experience with managing and monitoring hardware and software changes in multiple environments, providing guidance in support of IT configuration management to support on-going operational requirements, quality assurance and quality control, testing, and supporting the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process.
Experience implementing and designing reports and dashboards connected to a database and OLAP cubes.
Demonstrated experience with software implications to protect HIPAA data.
Specialized experience related to architecture and design of data warehousing specific to safety and readiness task requirements and experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint 2010, with SSRS and Performance Point integration.
