HII - MDIS is currently seeking a Force Protection Analyst to work at USARPAC, Fort Shafter, HI.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon assignments and other factors. Applicant may be required to travel throughout the Asia Pacific region. Travel will be reimbursed in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Candidate will provide support on site at USARPAC, Fort Shafter, HI.

  • The FP Planner works in the United States Army, Pacific (USARPAC) G-34 Protect Directorate (G-34) to assist the command and subordinate unit’s theater-wide to prepare FP plans and programs.

  • Lead efforts to plan and publish Protection-related annexes and appendices to USARPAC Operational Plans (OPLANS) and Contingency Plans (CONPLANS) encompassing the 14 warfighting protection tasks.

  • Lead efforts to plan and publish Protection-related annexes and appendices to USARPAC Exercise Plans and Directives encompassing the 12 non-warfighting protection tasks.

  • Assist, advise, develop and recommend protection-related training objectives for all USARPAC Command Post Exercises. Participate in the Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) analysis and review for submission into the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS).

  • Participate as the Lead Protection Planner in all facets of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) for select USARPAC and INDOPACOM Exercises.

Qualifications and Experience :

Required –

  • Must have understanding of DOD and Army Protection programs and force protection concepts.

  • Must have understanding of DOD and Army Exercise programs and the JELC.

  • Professional experience in Government work environment is desired.

  • Professional experience in leading a military headquarters staffing effort is desired.

  • Familiarity with the military decision making process and the ability to interpret implied tasks.

  • Candidate will provide support to G-34 both on-site at USARPAC, Fort Shafter HI, and various Joint Exercise locations.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications.

  • 15+ Years with Bachelors or 13+ Years with Masters or HS diploma + 19+ years of relevant experience.

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active DOD Secret security clearance.

Preferred -

  • At least 5 years at the active duty O4, or above, level preferred.

  • Command and General Staff College graduate preferred.

  • Experience with the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) and DRRS is a plus.

  • Experience with USINDOPACOM Joint Plans and Exercises is a plus.

Security :

  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
