HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Principal Software Engineer to work out of their Fort Meade, MD office.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
Exciting SW development position support the nation premier Cyber Threat organization.Develop and deploy cyber analytics and threat analysis tools for operators and analyst.
Qualifications and Experience:
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors degree and 13+ years of experience with HS diploma.Machine learning and/or data science background with an understanding of filtering bulk data sets to optimize analytics.Experience with Spark, Scala, Java, Python and/or C++, Netflow data and SQL injection.Understanding of Apache Spark framework . Also desired are previous experience working on an agile scrum team and the ability to adhere to agile methodologies.Strong communication and organizational skills through Jira tracking are critical to success in this position.Analytic signature development skills, knowledge of CM and build tools (git, Maven, Jenkins, etc.) and experience working with Linux/Unix.
A Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field is desired.Ten ( 10 ) years’ experience i n SW engineering positions support analysis design development and implementation of SW systems.
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
