HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Network Threat Support Specialist to work out of their Ft Meade, Maryland office.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
As a Network Threat Support Specialist, and member of a computer network operations (CNO) intelligence team, you will focus on the threat to U.S. and DoD information networks and networked weapons platforms. You will analyze, map, protect and/or discover vulnerabilities, intrusions, and threats in computer network systems. You will create all source analytic/collection strategies to pursue access and exploitation of targets of interest through: your continued partnership with analytical counterparts across the U.S. Intelligence Community; the application of your knowledge of the threat environment, open-source tools, and the current implementation of threat technologies .
You will work in/around Fort Meade and/or Annapolis Junction.
Perform in-depth technical analysis of malware, analyze the inner workings, and develop defensive countermeasures.
Perform in-depth diagnostic analysis of computer and network intrusions, determine if modifications have been made to a suspect system(s) and the vector by which the modification occurred.
Conduct in-depth analysis of computer and network intrusion incident data and network analysis to detect malicious activity.
Evaluate multiple operating systems, network configurations, network architectures, and topologies for potential technical and/or operational vulnerabilities.
Write scripts/tools (Java, Perl, C, etc.) to develop an analysis capability.
Author technical intelligence reports and provide expertise and leadership to the team in the development of analytical models and assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline ( Math, Computer Science, etc ) with 2-4 years experience and/or equivalent formal military training OR 6-8+ additional years of relevant experience .
2 + years of continuous experience in network and vulnerability analysis supporting the Intelligence Community / DoD.
Experience with relevant CNO and SIGINT tools and databases used for the customer mission, and communications skills that include the ability to provide formal documentation of analysis and/or research results.
Experience with collection management and intelligence community databases.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and non-standard hours when needed.
Experience working with any of the following Cyber tools: Wireshark, IDA Pro, WinHex , Encase or OLLY Dbg.
An active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
An understanding of the Special Technical Operations and Special Access Program communities.
The ability to work in an ever-changing environment and non-standard hours as needed.
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
