HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Release Engineer to work out of their Fairfax, Virginia office.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
Provide day-to-day administration, scheduling and support for assigned program/portfolio
Develop new and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines for program/portfolio administration
Maintenance of existing and creation of new documents for all sections of the team
Logging/tracking/managing issues and resolutions
Maintain build and release calendars/schedules for the portfolio
Maintain VersionOne and ALM for the portfolio
Create and maintain Change Requests from ServiceNow
Facilitate releases during business hours and off hours
Maintain metrics and content reports for the client
Maintain version control of the code repository ensuring the branches are merged into the trunk properly
Escalations as needed
Qualifications and Experience :
B.S. in Computer Science, Business or related major
5+ years of DevOps or a Combination of Change, Release, Configuration, Build and Knowledge Management.
Experience with AWS Applications
Experience in Agile and Waterfall Environments and Methodologies
Experience with Change Management Tools such as ServiceNow
Experience with Version Control Systems such as SVN or GIT
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with Agile tools such as VersionOne
Effective time management skills.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Understanding of SDLC, especially the interaction of Release, Change, Configuration, Environment, Knowledge and Build Management
Demonstrated skills in the areas of critical thinking and problem solving
Works well in a distributed group environment
Excellent interpersonal communication skills including listening, oral and written presentation of idea
Comfortable working in a dynamic, highly-communicative team environment
High proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Outlook etc.)
ITIL v3 Foundation Certified
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

Must be able to obtain and keep a USPS Sensitive Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen, have a Green Card or EAD and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years
