Huntington Ingalls Industries Subcontracts Administrator in Centreville, Virginia
HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to work out of their Fairfax, VA office. HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
Responsibilities for this role include all activities spanning the entire procurement cycle, to include:
Negotiation of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreements
Preparation of solicitation packages to subcontractors
Evaluation of subcontractor proposals and price analysis
Negotiation of terms and conditions
Issue resolution, and
In addition to the activities detailed above, the successful will be the primary interface between their assigned programs and the subcontractors for any subcontracts-related issues. The individual will regularly collaborate with members of program management, project control, contracts and business development and will need to be able to foster relationships with individuals from the other functional areas.
Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of experience related to Subcontract Administration and negotiation. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Basic knowledge of the FAR and a general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
Experience in administering IDIQ agreements as well as stand-alone agreements (primarily T&M and FFP)
Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to evaluate and analyze an issue and determine the best approach for its resolution.
Ability to learn new systems quickly
Proficient in Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc...)
Knowledge of business principles such as procurement, business and contract law, finance and accounting
Requires broad-based experience in procurement and related functions, with particular emphasis on negotiation and contract administration.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
