HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII - MDIS is currently seeking a Air Combat Command (ACC) Liaison to work at Langley Air Force Base, VA.
The AF OTI Flight Plan establishes lines-of-effort required to create relevant and realistic training infrastructure. Effort may require the development of roadmaps, action plans and/or reports to support execution of 13 lines-of-effort. Participation/support of established Working Groups will be required as they can support the capability gaps of individual MAJCOMs. The lines-of-effort (LOE) include:
Develop and execute a long-range funding strategy while maximizing the value of investment and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) expenditures
Execute OTI workforce human capital plan
Field a synthetic-to-live/live-to-synthetic training capability
Establish or augment authoritative data sources and technical standards for the training enterprise
Update acquisition policy to ensure effective OTI sustainment, such as proper simulator concurrency, fidelity, interoperability and cybersecurity
Develop rigorous oversight and coordination of exercise programs
Ensure Acquisition oversight of applicable OTI
Institutionalize operational training by incorporating training considerations into established processes
Establish a relevant, non-proprietary threat environment based on authoritative/certified data
Incorporate quality of environment metrics into training requirements
Strengthen Joint/Interagency Interoperability
Strengthen Multinational Interoperability
Enable a Cross-Domain Training Architecture
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
Assist MAJCOM-level activity in support of AF OTI Flight Pan LOEs, including:
Lead MAJCOM data collection efforts to establish OTI baselines.
Support MAJCOM initiatives linked to OTI Flight Plan objectives
Develop MAJCOM products required to accomplish the LOEs to include POA&Ms, white papers, and reports
Synchronize and integrate cross-functional MAJCOM activities in support of OTI efforts
Inform MAJCOM of HAF emerging concepts/tasks to assist with timely response
Qualifications and Experience:
Past experience managing AF OTI elements, such as, airspace, ranges, simulators or Distributed Mission Operations.
Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate strategies to accomplish AF-wide initiatives.
Past experience with MAJCOM-level coordination processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop networks and alliances, and collaborate across boundaries with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders.
Working knowledge of operational practices and policies of the OTI and Modeling & Simulation Communities to support readiness training activities.
Working knowledge with DOD Requirements Process (JCIDS)/Acquisition/PPBE and RMF compliance requirements.
· Familiarity with ACC training process and programs.
· All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
· Candidate must have an active Top Secret DoD clearance.
