HII – Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.
HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Software Engineer to work out of their Annapolis Junction, Maryland office.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
- The contract uses a broad range of software development principles and skills to mine data present to end users. Java, Hadoop, and MapReduce are basic requirements for software developers , and then s ome projects use the Scrum Agile Development Process . Additionally, competence in a build framework like Maven or Gradle and a testing framework like JUnit or Spock together with a scripting language like Perl and Python are useful in this environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required – .
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in an Information Technology related field, Systems Management, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Administration and 5+ years of relevant experience OR 4 additional years of software development/engineering in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of 5 years ’ engineering experience working in Government or industry projects.
3+ years of experience in the development, analysis, execution, and evaluations of COTS/GOTS tools.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Experience writing cloud analytics in Pig or Java .
The desire to solve problems and engage the Customer on solutions.
Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
