HII-MDIS is currently seeking a Science and Technology Analyst Level IV to work out of their Abingdon office. This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds supporting RDECOM Headquarters.

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify tools and systems that play a key role in the strategic planning process within RDECOM so that the RDECOM can gather, store, access, and analyze data that will aid in decision-making.

  • Developing SQL database and BI solutions using T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, MDX, query performance tunings, database development, implementation, support of data, and underlying data models.

  • Work with Test Engineer and participate in testing of all database-related changes and application updates.

  • Work with the System Administrators (SA) and Infrastructure team in planning, design, implementation, and testing of new and existing database configurations.

  • Responsible for the day to day database development/administrative tasks which include the development of queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and other database schema objects.

  • Perform data validation, error checking, troubleshooting, performance tuning and keeping schema/data in existing application database environments in sync.

  • Document current data/schema shortcomings and ensure requirements meet database standards.

  • Create deployment packages, generate Change Request (CR) forms, and compile all database code updates into a unified deployment script.

  • Provide assistance, guidance and training to developers in creating new database objects for application development.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required-

  • Master’s degree in a related discipline, + ten (10) years of general experience and six (6) years of relevant experience. Or, a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline +twelve (12) years of general experience and eight (8) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of master’s degree.

  • Experience facilitating coordination and integration of multiple organizational elements, including Army, other Government agencies, Industry, and academia.

  • Experience managing the conduct of broad, all-encompassing analytical efforts, upon which program policy, procedures, and systemic determinations will be predicated.

  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

  • Deep knowledge of business processes, automation, and business system integration.

  • Deep knowledge of data warehousing and BI concepts.

  • Expert level SQL Scripting, SSRS, and Excel skills.

  • Active Secret Clearance

Preferred-

  • Experience supporting a Program Management Office or Headquarters

  • Familiarity with U.S. Army, ARL and RDECOM markets
